Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas honoured after Oppenheimer sweeps awards season

Christopher Nolan and his wife, Emma Thomas Nolan, will receive a knighthood and damehood respectively, after Oppenheimer swept awards season. Documents published by the Government have said the pair will be given the honours for their services to film. Thomas has collaborated with Nolan on all of his major feature films, including The Dark Knight trilogy, Interstellar, and Tenet. Oppenheimer won seven Oscars and seven Baftas, marking the first time the couple won the best picture Oscar and best film Bafta having previously been nominated for 2010’s Inception and 2017’s Dunkirk.
