Since so many people enjoyed the first video and #california had such a bombardment of #atmosphericrRiver events in #2023 This includes the repeated record setting #2023 #winterstorm season that left places with a snow pack greater than 40 feet. #blizzard conditions from numerous events as well as #flooding, #flood #hail #storms #wind #Waves and #crazy #weather. #cawx Everyone kept asking me to compare the record setting lake effect event to something and it kept reminding me of atmospheric river events in California. Atmospheric Rivers, also known as Pineapple Express is a weather setup in which a channel of deep moisture extending all the way back to Hawaii sets up over the West Coast. This causes flooding at low elevations, big waves along the coast and heavy snow in the mountains. When these events happen over burn scars they can cause #naturaldisasters such as mudflows, debris flows and land slides.
