‘Take Our Border Back Convoy’ protestors head for Texas

A convoy of trucks, cars and RV’s is heading to the Texas border. Not to cross it, but to defend it. The crisis at the southern US border is deepening, and some Americans have decided to take matters into their own hands and go to the border themselves. The group, officially called ‘Take Our Border Back,’ plans to fix the border crisis by holding a series of rallies as the group picks up members from three convoys converging on Eagle’s Pass, Texas on February 3. However, some members of the group have taken another name – ‘God’s Army.’ Whatever their name, one thing unites them: patriotism. One protester blamed the ‘lawless, illegitimate criminal syndicate that is sitting and squatting in our White House,’ for the border crisis. Another also laid the blame squarely at Biden: ‘We’re against the lawlessness of the country. We’re sick and tired of the Biden administration. And we are standing up.’ Another summed it more simply. ‘Freedom. That’s why we’re here.’
