After A Painting Is Finished... - Thursday, Week 69 (17/06/2021)

Day Four! We’ve attempted to recognize shapes, we’ve pushed (a tiny bit) gesture, we choreographed two elephants in a Stallone Over-the-Top-trunk-match (twist that cap, wrap the fingers lol!) so for today we’re going to attempt to paint a herd. The objective is not to describe every single detail inherent to each of the elephants that makes up the herd, but to understand the herd as a single entity (kind of like the mice police in Ernest and Celestine). We’re also going to very directly pay homage to the genius of Remington’s night painting and borrow/steal some of that wonderful enveloping atmosphere.
