Ukraine crack down on corruption as US sanction Russian supporting Wagner group – BBC News

Ukraine’s President Zelensky is facing a fresh political battle, following claims of corruption within his government. As the nation defends itself from the Russian invasion, 11 officials have either resigned or been sacked, following claims made by an investigative journalist for the news website Ukrayinska Pravda. Meanwhile, the US has sanctioned a Chinese company for allegedly providing satellite imagery of Ukraine to support the mercenary Wagner Group’s combat operations for Russia. Spacety China had provided a Russia-based technology firm with satellite images of locations in Ukraine, the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control said in a statement.
