“It’s Not A Tank, It’s A Tractor!“ The Leopard Tank Russia Claimed To Hit Turns Out To Be A Tractor

Russia’s claim of having destroyed one of the eight German-made Leopard tanks sent to Ukraine was found to be false. Russia’s MoD released a video of the thermal camera view from a Ka-52 helicopter that fired an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) at a stationary object. Russia claims to have destroyed 52 Ukrainian tanks in three days of fighting between June 4-6. Russian officials also claimed Ukrainians tried to destroy one Leopard tank themselves to prevent it from falling into Russian hands. Despite the poor video low quality, eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot that the ATGM had actually destroyed an agricultural tractor-sprayer.
