How to lighten your load (Matt 11:30 “My yoke is easy, my burden is light“)

In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest… for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Today, we don’t do much work with oxen, so this passage can be difficult to understand. In this passage, Jesus is removing the burdensome teaching of the religious leaders and offering the yoke of his partnership to help carry our burdens, train us in the way we should go, and make our path straight.
