Philo of Alexandria’s ’On Creation’ [Reading Session 1]

Recently, the Rising Tide Foundation weekly study group finished the essay ‘How Jesus and His Followers Saved Civilization’ which introduced the figure of Rabbi Philo of Alexandria. Many people reading the essay (or listening to the recording) were shocked that they hadn’t heard of this incredible figure who worked so closely with Jesus’ apostle Peter in Rome where the two collaborated in opposing the pagan cult system of the Empire (which at various times created pseudo Christian sects designed to undermine the young religion from within). On Wednesday November 1, 2023, the RTF study group began reading the original writing of Rabbi Philo of Alexandria himself with the first of several readings of his Pythagorean, Platonic treatise ‘On Creation’ which you can download here: Other works by Plato, Philo and Eusebius can be found here:
