Painting Daffodils In Watercolor 3 Ways

In this video I show you how to Paint Daffodils In Watercolor 3 different ways. Painting shadows on yellow subjects can be tricky, so here I show you a couple of different ways to approach that challenge while painting some lovely daffodils photographed in my daughter’s yard this Spring. I am using my travel palettes for this painting since I needed a variety of yellows to get the most vibrant florals. You can use the colors you already have available and get similar results. In the last variation I also you a 0.1 permanent ink liner for a very loose intrepretation of daffodils. Colors used: Transparent Yellow, Azo Yellow (M Graham), New Gamboge, Aussie Red Gold, Burnt Sienna, Green Gold (Daniel Smith), Cobalt Blue, French Ultramarine Blue, Antwerp Blue, Andanthrene Blue.
