Madeira Island Portugal (225 min. 4K)

Madeira is one of the Portuguese islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It belongs to the Archipelago, which also includes Porto Santo and the uninhabited islands of Desertas and Selvagens. The archipelago lies about 685 km from the coast of Africa, about 970 km from Lisbon, 370 km from Gran Canaria and 770 km from the island of Santa Maria, the closest island of the Azores. We spent three weeks on this beautiful island and tried to see as much as possible during our stay. We drove 1400 km by car. and walked about 300 km. This small island captivated us with the beauty of nature and what the inhabitants built on it. Despite such a difficult terrain, roads and hiking trails (especially along the levadas) reach almost everywhere and you can usually move comfortably on them.
