Risk of Rain 2 Void Ending Cutscene [cut content]

Apparently hopoo was already working on a cutscene but it wasn’t finished quite yet. My theory as to why they didn’t put this in is based on the item Newly Hatched Zoea, which allows you to get a void ally (void reaver, jailor and destroyer). Because (in my opinion) this cutscene implies void creatures are a hivemind, or at least depend on the voidling in some way. What happened so the void reavers come to your aid? It could be to protect the hatched child, but we don’t know. From what i’ve heard in the official discord, hopoo probably changed the direction they wanted to take the story in, so that’s why no cutscene was implemented in the main game, but i could be wrong, so don’t take my word for it. In any case, since this unfinished cutscene actually exists im guessing hopoo is working on fleshing it out for the next update or two? We’ll see i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
