Iran Unveils Hypersonic Missile After US Warning on Nukes, Boasts of Fattah “Penetrating Iron Dome”
Iran presented what officials described as its first domestically-made hypersonic ballistic missile on June 6, in a development likely to heighten Western concerns about Tehran’s missile capabilities.
Named Fattah, the missile was unveiled at a ceremony attended by President Ebrahim Raisi and commanders of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps.
“At a distance of 1,400 kilometres (870 miles), we can accurately hit any target we want, and no anti-missile system can deal with it,“ Amirali Hajizadeh, the head of the Guards’ aerospace force, said in a speech at the ceremony.
