Turkey continues to suffer from extreme weather conditions. Ankara was hit by heavy rains on Thursday evening. The amount of precipitation was record high. More than 200mm of rain has fallen in the last 24 hours. Authorities have declared an orange alert level. Severe flooding occurred in several areas of the city. This is one of the worst floods in Ankara in recent years. The streets became like rivers. The first floors and basements of buildings were flooded. Water blocked hundreds of cars on the roads.
