What Made The First Ever BTCC Game So Special?

Can you believe it? TOCA Touring Car Championship is 25 years old this month and to celebrate we take a trip down memory lane – nailing every apex along the way. The Super Touring era was pure sporting box office. The cars were based on normal family saloons, with manufacturers ploughing millions of pounds into their development, leading to ever-increasing speeds and spectacular action. And with some of the best and most competitive racing drivers around, the ensuing chaos led to some of the most exciting racing ever. This was never more apparent than in the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship), where the explosive 1992 finale caught the public’s attention, pushing the BTCC up to Formula 1 levels of popularity in Britain.
