Mediaeval Dance; the Basse Dance from Peter Warlock’s Capriol Suite. This set of dances was based on Thoinot Arbeau’s Orchésographie, a manual of Renaissance dance. Arranged for mandolin by Allan Alexander. Tourdion, by Pierre Attaingnant (c1500). Tourdion is a dance form, but there are lyrics to this one: (below).
