Liberal MP collapses during House of Commons debate

A Liberal MP collapsed at her desk during the daily question period in the House of Commons on Thursday. MP Pam Damoff took a deep breath before slumping over on her desk as Omar Alghabra, the parliamentary secretary to the foreign affairs minister, answered an opposition question. Fellow Liberal Marco Mendicino called for help before a break in debate. Former Liberal cabinet minister Jane Philpott, a physician, raced across the floor of the House of Commons to help Damoff.
