Full title reads: “Air Port of London. Amy’s Wonderful Welcome Home - teeming thousands wait till nightfall to greet our Heroine of the Skies.“ London Airport, possibly Croydon. Travel shots from a vehicle driving along past crowds waiting to greet female aviator Amy Johnson. Dusk shots of a biplane coming in to land at the airfield. It appears to be an airliner. Crowds of people are waving from the top of the airport building. The plane comes down to land. Dark shots of Amy Johnson and others disembarking from the plane. SV as a speech is made by Lord Thompson, Minister for Air, to welcome Amy home from Australia, she says a few words in reply. Margaret Bondfield, Britain’s first woman Cabinet Minister, makes a speech on behalf of the women of England.
