Police in Madrid clash again with protesters opposing Catalan separatists

The protest of about 8 thousand people gathered in front of the headquarters of the Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) in Madrid for a possible amnesty law with separatist Catalan political parties lasted for two hours. As the crowd started to disperse, radical far-right extremist groups tried to break through police barricades, burning garbage bins on the road and throwing torches, stones and bottles at security guards. Madrid Governorate announced that at least 15 people were detained after the police intervened in the violent protests. It was seen that some people were injured in the incidents. The demonstrations against the attempt to grant amnesty to separatist politicians and representatives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Catalonia left behind its 6th day this evening. There were incidents in the demonstrations on 6 and 7 November.
