500 Years of Korean Flavor: The World’s Healthiest and Most Delicious Dish, Bibimbap
Bibimbap, with various colored ingredients beautifully placed on top of rice, is one of the best foods that looks good, tastes good, and is even healthy. What kind of bibimbap is the most delicious bibimbap that you remember?
The most delicious bibimbap I remember was the one I made by mixing together all the side dishes from my friends’ lunch boxes when I was in middle school. I still can’t forget the taste of the lunch box I ate in the garden with my friends after mixing various side dishes and red pepper paste (Gochujang) together.
Bibimbap is a food that mixes various ingredients that are not defined in the recipe and creates a flavor that combines the natural taste of each ingredient with red pepper paste (Gochujang) sauce. Korean food contains a cultural code that involves mixing various ingredients together and enjoying it with many people.
So I think it took quite a long time to make the bibimbap recipe. I make it very often and it’s not a difficult dish, but the taste is always different every time I make it, so it’s true that there are many parts that are quite difficult to explain to someone through video.

150 g ground beef or thinly sliced beef

15g soy sauce (one tablespoon)
5g sesame oil (one teaspoon)

Two tablespoons of soy sauce
Two tablespoons of water (can be replaced with cooking wine or cider depending on your taste)
Two tablespoons of Gochujang
Two tablespoons of starch syrup (can be replaced with honey or sugar)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
