Smoke Foils Bandits Aka Anti-Bandit Bag (1959)

This is a duplicate of item - check for best quality. Title reads: “Smoke Foils Bandits“. Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. Anti-bandit bag. Interior of office: Various shots cashier and secretary taking money out of safe and placing it in a special bag. The bag has a device attached to it that releases coloured smoke if the bag is snatched by robbers. The device is activated by removal of small pin, the bag is then strapped to the cashier’s wrist. Various shots cashier coming out of office and walking along street. C/U of the bag attached to his wrist. Two “criminals“ run towards the cashier and try to grab the bag, they are repelled by clouds of smoke. C/U of cashier and bank manager inspect the bank notes: they have been dyed by smoke and will be of no use to the “criminals“. The “criminals“ are in fact cricketers Godfrey Evans and Bill Edrich.
