First I have to say a special thanks to Jolie Paints ?aff=161 for sending me some luscious paint samples to try. For this project, I mixed their Uptown Ecru with the Swedish gray to create my own blend of a beautifuly creamy tone, which was perfect for the paper I chose. I have to say the paint went on very smooth with light sanding in between coats.
Jayne from Funkiture sent me her Rock Hard top coat in matte and I used that as both a decoupage medium and a top coat over the paint. I really like this product a lot for both uses!
I decoupaged the French Floral paper in all new A2 size right over the drawers. Once it was dry, I used a sharp blade to cut through. The paper goes on beatifully with no wrinkles and no bubbling when recoating with varnish. The torn edges blend beautifully in
