Down nearly 70 percent! Lower costs charge up demand for China’s energy storage sector

A drop in the price of lithium carbonate, a raw material used to make rechargeable batteries, is supercharging demand for energy storage products made in China. The price of battery-grade lithium carbonate currently stands at around 26,000 U.S. dollar per ton in China, down nearly 70 percent from an all-time high last November. The dip in raw material costs has allowed Chinese firms making energy storage batteries and systems to cut prices by one-fifth, helping drive demand at home and abroad. With production scheduled through Q3, this manufacturer in the eastern province of Jiangsu has been running at full capacity to fill orders. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
