The book ‘Reimagining Swaraj through Indian Traditions’ - Essays in Honour of Sh ri. Dharampal on his birth centenary was released by Gita Dharampal, famous historian and Dean, GRF, Jalg aon and Dharampal’s daughter, at the book launch event held at IIT Madras Research Park, India’s first Universit y-based Research Park. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, Institute Professor, IIT Madras, C N Krishnan, Retd. Prof., Anna Univ ersity, J K Suresh (PPST), Norma Alvares (Other India Press) and P L T Girija, Sanjeevani Ayurveda Hospital, Chennai were present at the occasion. The Gandhian historian and freedom fighter Shri Dharampal (1922 – 2006) revealed a picture of India prior to the British rule that was entirely at variance from what was commonly understood as gospel truths in post-in dep endence India.
