Throughout the Second World War, one of the most horrific concentration camps used by the SS was Dachau. It was the first camp opened, but one priest who was executed inisde of the site was Father Giuseppe Girotti. He was a man who helped many of those who were persecuted inside of Italy by the Nazis, and he saved many lives but Girotti would be then betrayed and he was sent through a number of different prisons. He arrived at Dachau and was held inside of the Priest Barracks along with over 1000 other members of the clergy. But he became rather ill in the final months of the Second World War, and this was a death sentence as he was sent to the hospital where he would be executed by the nurses or doctors.
