Safety Petrol (1931)

“A boon to flyers, this petrol, it is claimed, will obviate the risk of these experiments appear to justify the claim.“ Two men empty some petrol out of a plane’s tank into a bucket. One of the men - in pilot’s uniform - carries the bucket away from the plane. C/U of some petrol being poured from a can into a bucket. “A red-hot iron fails to ignite the new fuel, but has different results with the petrol.“ M/S of the red hot iron being held in one bucket. The flames coming off the iron are extinguished. When the iron is put into the other bucket the petrol ignites. Rags are then soaked in both fuels - one refuses to burn and the other quickly ignites. The new fuel “even acts as an extinguisher.“ The flaming rag is put into the bucket holding the other fuel and the flames are extinguished.
