Les machines de L’ile, Nantes, France, an impression

On the Island in the Loire in the heart of French city Nantes grows an artistic urban project. The mechanical inventions and the imaginations from Jules Verne and Leonardo da Vinci, combined with the Industrial history of Nantes, in a dream-shaped new world constructed by Francois Delaroziere and Pierre Orefice. Living machine-animals, including a 12 meters high elephant, a small and a big waterworld carroussel and the creation of an enormous steel tree with real plants and large mechanic animals, welcome to a new world -or even a new civilisation, based upon artistic craftmanship.
