Propagation of a lemon tree through air layering is a relatively simple technique that can be done by using a potato. Here are the steps: 1. Select a healthy branch on the lemon tree that is about the thickness of a pencil and does not have any fruit or flowers growing on it. 2. Make a small cut about 1 inch long on the branch, about 6 inches from the tip, and remove the bark and any cambium layer. This will encourage roots to form at the cut. a potato in half, lengthwise, and scoop out a small hole in the center of one of the halves. 4.
