You Are My Sunshine - Johnny Cash (Cover by Angelika Vee) : You are my sunshine originally performed by Johnny Cash is the first single from my instrumental piano lullaby album “Sweet Lullabies“. I wanted to do this cover, since it’s my son’s favorite lullaby. Maybe some of you don’t know yet, but in May 2019 I became a new mom and I absolutely love this new chapter of my life. These past few months flew by so fast and I wanted to make sure I take the time to enjoy each and every moment to the fullest, so I apologize for the lack of content :-) but now you know why :-) Today is International Women’s Day and I wanted to dedicate this album to all of us strong, beautiful women. I have played lullabies for my baby boy since the day I found out I was expecting. The album includes 11 piano tracks (classic and original lullabies) plus this vocal recording of “You are my sunshine“ that I couldn’t help not to record since this is my baby’s favorite song. This video is very personal to me and probably cheesy for some of you :-) but I wanted to create this memory and make this record authentic and real and share a little glimpse into this new chapter of my life with you in it’s raw form.
