VW Schwimmwagen - WW2 amphibious car

Between 1941 and 1944 over fourteen thousand Volkswagen Type 166 Schwimmwagen cars were built, making it the most massed produced amphibious car in history. Only around 160 of those vehicles have survived. In the water a screw propeller attached to the rear engine cover could be lowered and this was driven by a direct extension from the engines crankshaft.
