Flat Character Design with texture in Adobe Illustrator | Speed Art (illustration from sketch)

In today’s Adobe Illustrator speed art video I’ll show you my full illustrating and texturing workflow from sketch to finished flat character illustration. I use my favorite tracing, coloring and texturing methods that I’ve explained in previous tutorials. First of all I start with a rough sketching and then I trace it with the Pen tool, apply Outline from Pathfinder to cut unneeded lines, use Divide to color illustration and apply textures using the Freeform Gradient. I hope today’s speed art video about flat character illustration in Illustrator will really help you out.
