Sukeban Deka is one of my favorite shows, but there was a time where japan made a rival show that almost beat it. No anime this time, instead it’s a series review about Japanese tv from the 80s. Japanese delinquents, drama, & fight scenes abound, in this kenny lauderdale retrospective on the Sailor Suit Rebel Alliance. Why watch anime when you can see idols in costumes mess with ultraman instead? This j-drama is currently not lost media. If you search the name セーラー服反逆同盟 you can probably find some clips. Sailor fuku hangyaku doumei also works. The sailor suit rebel alliance is part of the same genre as shoujo Commando Izumi, Hana no asuka gumi, & the other Japanese series I’ve covered, so if you’ve seen those retrospectives you should know what to expect.
