Spinning Water: The Experiment

If a tank of water is spun around a vertical axis, the surface of the water takes a curved shape. In this experiment, a thin tank of water is spun at up to 270 revolutions per minute, filmed at both 30 frames per seconds and 300 fps. Can you identify the shape of the water surface, and explain why it is that shape?
