Globular cluster stream around a Milky Way-like halo

This shows a globular cluster stream around a Milky Way-like galaxy evolved from z=1 to z=0, i.e. for 8 billion years until the present. The streams were inserted using Lagrange point stripping around a tracer particle and included the gravitational force from the progenitor. Two clear interactions take place during the simulation, one massive flyby which substantially perturbs the stream and one smaller one in the trailing arm at a=0.9. The simulation was run with Gadget-3 and the visualization was done us
