DJI Inspire 1 Water Landing 2015

DIY proof o concept project for water landing with the DJI Inspire 1 Material used to build the floats from the local hardware store: Pu foam tubes used for insulation Pu spray foam to fill the tubes Cable ties to attache the floats to the I1 Conclusion: Starting and landing on water with the DJI Inspire 1 is possible and easy in quiet waters. Flying is ok if there is not too much wind. If the floats are smaller they won’t carry the 3Kg weight of the I1.
