A response to child marriage in Brazil that is respectful of its religion and culture.

My student prepared this video for a project in a subject called ’Health’, which seems more about pushing the UN mindset on to students. The project asked for him to give his recommendations on the issue of ’child marriage’ in Brazil. Investigating the issue and why it was happening, my student found that these ’children’ are sexually active girls ~16 years old, who might fall pregnant and who want to marry their boyfriends, whose parents want them to marry and become a proper husband and wife, and a family to their children ---And the UN want to forbid them! The UN want to make sure these girls can have ’safe sex’ and can kill the babies in their wombs, but they want to forbid them from properly marrying and having sex in its proper context, and raising their own children. It makes me very angry! My student agrees with me that sex is not ’safe’ or right outside of marriage and abortion is wrong, and noting the predominantly Catholic background of Brazil, made this video with recommendations that are respect for of their religious culture and congruent with his own values. Apparently recommending a contrary approach to the UN values-bulldozer is not ’evidence-based’: This project was FAILED. But what do you think?
