It was founded in the 15th century by Iizasa Choisai Ienao, who was a famous spearman and swordsman of that time. You can still observe in the techniques of the school the characteristic movements due to the fighting conditions of a real battlefield: wearing a 35 kg ancient “Yoroi” armor, moving on potentially uneven ground, the warrior sees his movements slowed and restr
