Why do Snipers carry Garden Shears?

This useful tool is nothing new for people, that have been outside with a ghillie suit before. But for some people it is not self explaining to bring gardener scissors to the field. This helpful tool is sure quite less universal than a knife. But if you want to cut vegetation fast and often, then you want to use one of these. Or why should gardeners use these, if they are not the correct tool? ;) Additionally to this garden shears can be used to cut tunnels into thick foliage. With a saw or a knife you would need to make fast movements and cause the bushes to move. With garden shears you can cut a branch and move it out of the way super low, without being detected by a possible observer. And no, I am not a sniper. Just a random crazy dude.
