THE BARGAIN HUNT (1928) = The Smith Family

After watching the excellent Raymond McKee in KIDNAPPED tonight (courtesy of Fritzi Kramer and The Kennington Bioscope - search for KB on YT), it reminded me of the long running comedy series ’The Smith Family’, that he made for Mack Sennett in the late 20s. Here’s a rare example, featuring Ruth Hiatt, Andy Clyde and their regular brat kid, Mary Ann Jackson (of Our Gang fame) - the walking talking Cabbage Patch Doll. Hopefully the tentative opening of shops at the moment, won’t be quite as manic as this! Enjoy!
