World Travel Backpacking

A cross-country road trip to backpack Grand Canyon National Park for four days over New Years at the end of 2020/beginning of 2021. Highlights include cold beer and barbecue in St. Louis, Petroglyph National Monument in New Mexico, Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona, the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon, peanut butter and tortillas, burnt pasta and rice, tall boys, lots of switchbacks, chimichangas, Arches National Park in Utah, fried chicken in Indianapolis, more beer in Cleveland, and lots more switchbacks. Special thanks to everyone who helped us along the way (Robyn and her family, Reagan, Jennifer, Alex, and Sara). Our route took us down the South Kaibab Trail to Bright Angel campground, up the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Garden campground, west on the Tonto shelf to Monument Creek, before finishing up the trip at Hermits Rest.
