No titles. Kasbeck Cossacks Russian Singers and Orchestra.
Probably filmed in the Pathe Studio, London.
M/S of a group of musicians in traditional Cossack costume sitting in a group. A man in similar clothing walks into shot and introduces the Kasbeck Cossack Singers and Orchestra under the direction of Captain Strlez (sp?). He salutes the musician on the left of the shot, presumably the Captain.
The musicians start to play a fast traditional Russian / Cossack tune on mandolin-style instruments. One man plays a tambourine and he sings the next number - a slow and soulful tune - with the others humming in the background.
They then play another tune, quite fast, and sing along with it passionately.
This probably originates from Pathe Sound Magazine 20.
Note: item is out of synch throughout due to early sound recording.
