Carnival Of Venice Timofey Dokshizer

Timofei Dokshizer was born in 1921 in the town of Nezhin (Chernigov region, Ukraine) to the family of musicians. He received initial education in Moscow musical college named after Glazunov in the class of I.A. Vasilevsky. He studied farther the art of playing trumpet at the Central music school in the class of professor Mikhail I. Tabakov. Under supervision of the very same professor Tabakov Dokshizer had graduated from the State “Gnessins’“ Music and Pedagogy Institute in 1950. In 1957 Mr. Dokshizer has completed at the Moscow State Conservatory the symphony orchestra conducting course (class of professor L. Ginzburg). For the first time the Timofei Dokshizer name was made known to the public just before the World War II, when the trumpet player being only 19 years of age won the All-Union (Soviet Union of course) brass instruments’ players competition.
