Inside of the concentration camps, there were thousands of people who were being executed each week. At camps such as Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen and Ravensbruck, many prisoners were being treated awfully by the SS guards. But one woman who was executed inside of Ravensbruck was Elisabeth de Rothschild, a Baroness who married into the incredibly wealthy Rothschild family. Elisabeth was arrested by the SS and Gestapo for debated reasons, either trying to flee France with false papers or offending a Nazi official. However she was sent to Ravensbruck Concentration Camp, an all female camp. But despite surviving at Ravensbruck for 4 years and almost seeing out the war, Elisabeth who may have been a political prisoner died inside the camp.
