🎧 Subscribe: Tsuyoshi Suzuki 26. November 1967, Tokyo, Japan. One of the most influential figures in the psychedelic trance movement of the 90s, Suzuki works as a DJ and recording artist and is responsible for A&R and creative development at for Matsuri Productions which he co-founded with John Perloff in 1994. He began playing the drums when he was 12, studied film and media at university and later learnt to DJ with the help of a friend. He formed various experimental rock bands inspired by the Yello Magic Orchestra, Kraftwerk and David Sylvian and in 1991 began working with Nick Taylor (Snake Thing) as Blissed. The pair recorded an EP (Blissed) and an album (Rite Of Passage) which were released on the German label POD communications in 1993. A spell in Goa inspired a change in direction and in July 1993 Suzuki moved to London where he and Taylor formed Prana.
