Tasavallan Presidentti - Lambertland 1972 (Finland, Progressive/Jazz Rock) Full Album

Continuation of the topic. In 1972, another castling took place among the “Presidents”. The fired Robson was replaced by new vocalist Eero Raittinen. The album “Lambertland“, released in the same year, showed the group in a slightly different capacity. With the arrival of a new vocalist, the bluesy quality disappeared and the structure of the compositions became more complex. The band’s sound became less harsh and painted in pastel colors, and the music, noticeably “jazzier“, became much closer to “Canterbury“ than it was before. Compositionally, this album turned out to be more interesting and harmonious. That year became a landmark year for Tasavallan Presidentti. The group was finally noticed outside of Finland. The album “Lambertland” became the first work of the “Presidents”, published in the USA, and the performances that took place in London evoked the most positive emotions among the British.
