The Trolleys of Esslingen (Solaris Trollino 18 IV & MetroStyle) + Interior

Wow!! Esslingen am Neckar is famous for its trolleybuses (O-Busse/Oberleitungsbusse in German) in Baden-Württemberg. The SVE (Städtischer Verkehrsbetrieb Esslingen am Neckar) operates a fleet of 10 with 2 Trollino “variants“ ;) 6x 18 IV & 4x MetroStyle comprise a small fleet that is used on specific lines across and outside of the city. When I first visited Esslingen I was impressed from the outside of the buses and their paintings!! The SVE operates 3 trolleybus lines: 101 (Lerchenäcker - Esslingen a. N.- Obertürkheim), 113 (Esslingen a. N. - Zollberg -/Berkheim) and 118 (Esslingen a. N. - Zollberg - Esslingen a. N.). The buses are fitted with in-motion-charging and thus they can cover some distance without the need to have the antennas extended and draw power from the overhead cables.
