Bomfunk MC’s & Suicide Machine - Freestyler (Neurofunk Remix) “Freestyler“ is a single by the Finnish group Bomfunk MC’s, released in 1999 . It became one of the most acclaimed singles of the year, conquering many European charts . In the lyrics of the song itself, her fresh and rhythmic singing style is contrasted with the melodiousness of Celine Dion songs or the single “ Karma Chameleon “ by the pop group Culture Club . There are also references of an obscene nature, however, the video clip was shown on MTV without censorship. In particular, the phrase “So who the fuck is Alice, is she from Buckingham Palace?” (from English  -  “Who the fuck is this Alice, she from Buckingham Palace ?”) refers to the famous song “ Living Next Door to Alice ” by the group “ Smokie ”, and the phrase “You know they can’t handle us like Debbie does Dallas“ (from English  - “You know, we can’t be ‘made’ like Debbie ‘made’ Dallas”) - to the porn film “ Debbie Conquers Dallas .”The video for the song was filmed in Helsinki , mainly at the Hakaniemi metro station [1] . In this case, pseudo-black and white film was used with a filter that transmitted shades of orange (schematic color of the Helsinki metro ). The main character is a young boy with a MiniDisc player (manufactured by Sony ) - Finnish musician Marlo Snellman [2] [3] , who was 15 years old at the time of filming. He got the casting thanks to his mother, modeling entrepreneur Lila Snellman [fi] [4] . In the story, he meets a strange man on the subway ( Raymond Ebanks (English)Russian)), which charges his player with an unknown force that can control time. Marlowe has fun rewinding time back and forth for trains, passers-by, dancers, but begins to abuse the power given to him. At the end, he finds an underground jam of break dancers in the subway, but the time rewind does not work on them. The person who gave him the power approaches him with an unknown intention, and since he cannot be frozen, the main character rewinds himself and again finds himself at the subway station before receiving the power. Subsequently, he also appears as a cameo in the video clip for the single B-Boys & Flygirls (at the 2:15 time mark), where he also carries out a senseless hooliganism with braking a 2019, 20 years after the recording of the original song, the video clip “Freestyler 2019” was published on YouTube , which received more than 6 million views in a few weeks [5] . This video clip was created as a viral advertisement for the Belgian operator “ YUGO Telenet [en] ” and repeats many scenes from the original video. It stars members of Bomfunk MC’s and some other actors from the original video [6] . It is noteworthy that most of the comments under the video were in Russian, which indicates the great popularity of the song in Russia [7] . The main role was played by Milica Bajčetić ( Serbian: Milica Bajčetić ), who used a smartphone instead of a player.
