The second echelon is Mi-35 helicopters. They also hit specified targets with unguided aircraft missiles, but in addition, they organise cover for the main attack vehicle. In addition, the composition includes crews of Mi-8 transport and combat helicopters with a fire support group on board. The latter’s task is to evacuate crew members, on-board documentation and equipment of attack helicopters in the event of an emergency. During combat missions, army aviation pilots launched missiles at detected fortified points of Ukrainian Armed Forces units. As a result of combat use, the control centre, tanks and other armoured vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were destroyed.
