People Disembark From Liner (1913-1914)

People disembark from liner. Location of events unknown. Boats and ships; commercial; passenger. A very merry bunch of people disembarking from ocean liner arriving in Great Britain; c. 1913-1914 ?. Vaudeville troupe on tour? dressed in furs and a variety of jaunty hats; they act like they are coming from a party. First woman strides down the ramp; pausing to wind up her arm and smash a champagne bottle on the rail. Others follow; in various degrees of hilarity jogging; skipping or dancing down the ramp; laughing; waving flags (both union jacks and stars & stripes) and hats. Man w/ bass drum. 2 Men carrying suitcases; golf clubs;etc. Nearly fall down in a heap but pick themselves up w/ great mirth and go staggering along together. Not all of the passengers are acting so silly; some seem rather dignified. A few of the ship’s crew watch from promenade.
