Lavrov: Russia will push Ukrainian forces back if the West supplies long-range missiles to Kyiv

Russia’s foreign minister on Monday warned the West that if it provided Ukraine with long-range rockets, Moscow would push Ukrainian forces back. Lavrov’s words came a day after Putin said Russia would “strike at those we haven’t yet struck”, in response to US’s and UK’s pledges to provide Kyiv with multiple launch rocket systems and rockets that can strike targets up to 80km away. The systems can also fire longer range rockets which can hit areas of up to 300km, but US said Kyiv promised not to use long-range rockets to target Russian territory. However, the Kremlin remains alert and distrustful of their promise. Editor: Jiawen(Intern)
