Kovu = Taka/Scar Simba = Mufasa Kiara = Sarabi Nala = Sarafina Full Explanation: At the beginning it shows Scar feeling upset about seeing Sarabi happy with Mufasa. And then another shot of him standing on top of Pride Rock looking down at a crying Sarabi. Feeling helpless as he watches her cry. Then there’s a flash and we’re at they’re childhood. It’s hinted that Sarabi has a crush on Taka but he’s not so sure about it himself. Mufasa has a crush on Sarabi and he starts poking fun at Taka and making him irritated because he doesn’t like that Sarabi has a crush on him. ( off screen ) In the distance their parents see this little relationship of there’s blossoming so they separate them. ( off screen ) Taka gradually gets a crush on Sarabi and Sarabi still has hers on Taka and Mufasa still has his on Sarabi. Now they’re teens/young adults and Taka is very angst-ridden and sulky. Especially knowing that he can never be king or be with Sarabi. He grows slightly colder towards his brother and gets extremely jealous of him. One day when Sarabi is being presented ( just think of it as some kind of special princess coronation xD ) Taka sees her and smiles but gets upset when she goes over to Mufasa. He wanders away afterwards to go sulk. Some time later while sulking he hears something in the bushes and it happens to be Sarabi. They converse for awhile until Sarabi accidentally lets something slip and Taka is shocked. She tells him that her and Mufasa always fight because of his short temper and her non-romantic feelings for him. She then openly admits her feelings for him and he’s not sure how to take it. He knows that she can’t be unfaithful towards his brother because she’s future queen. But he knows how his heart feels and he’s very unsure about everything. Sarabi makes another move and soon they’re nuzzling out in the open. But from afar Mufasa sees them and is shocked. Taka pulls away from Sarabi, telling her that it’ll only end in heartbreak if they continue their relationship. But Sarabi begs him to stay with her but before Taka can respond Mufasa runs over and stops them. Taka, Mufasa and Sarabi argue with each other. Mufasa tells Sarabi that she doesn’t know the real Taka. He’s cold hearted, manipulative, and evil ( in my self canon he’s incredibly misunderstood in the beginning but turns evil ). Sarabi tells him that he doesn’t know him like she does but Mufasa doesn’t care. He forbids them from seeing each other and threatens to banish Taka. They both hesitantly accept and go their separate ways.
